FAQ:

Do these trees stay green year-round ?

Yes, arborvitaes are evergreens and they will stay green year-round.

How much water do they need?

Water is very important when they are first planted. We recommend that you purchase a soaker hose, loop each tree, and water them for 1 hour a day, every day, for the first month. Then taper off watering to 2-3 times a week until the ground freezes. May need more water during dry spells.

Our trees are grown by local farmers in Connecticut, Penn, and New Jersey. Which makes them very hardy and indigenous to our local environment and soil.

The trees have a very shallow root system that grows parallel to the ground. For a 6 foot tree, it would be planted around 10-12 inches deep.

Are the trees guaranteed?

Unfortunately, the only thing that kills these trees after they are planted is not watering them properly. Therefore, we do NOT offer a guarantee.

On a 6 foot tree, we plant 2.5 FT to 4 FT feet on center. Depending on which kind of tree. This will give you a semi-instant privacy border.

If I have 100 feet to cover, how many trees do I need?

100 feet divided by 3 = 33 trees. Etc.

How long will it take to receive my trees after I order?

We usually have your trees dug, delivered and planted within 7 days from time of order. May vary in busy seasons.

Do deer eat the trees?

Since they are an evergreen and stay green year around, deer can sometimes nibble on the trees in the winter. However, it's not their primary source for food, so they tend to only nibble after deep snow falls. Deer are generally not an issue, however if it becomes an issue, Home Depot sells an oil based spray for under $20. That will eliminate any interference.
